Sheridan Shore Yacht Club in Wilmette, Illinois offers facilities and programs to support the sport of yachting. With panoramic views of Lake Michigan, Wilmette Harbor, and the Baha'i Temple, our club offers a spectacular setting just 15 miles north of downtown Chicago. Our members enjoy numerous social events throughout the year. These include a weekly Friday Night Grill held from May through September, Member Open Houses, Deck Parties throughout the summer, a Fishing Derby and Fish Boil, and winter events. The clubhouse is also available for private party rental. Home to competitive sailboat racing on the North Shore, Sheridan Shore Yacht Club enjoys a season-long race program for cruising and one-design fleets which offers recreational competition. The Club actively supports its Sailing School which attracted over 200 students in 2007 and is home to three high school sailing teams. The members of Sheridan Shore Yacht Club have at least three things in common. We all enjoy boating, the water, and being at the harbor. Whether you are having dinner with your family or friends or just hanging out on the deck at the end of the day, becoming a member of SSYC will add significantly to your overall Lake Michigan experience.
